Vocational Institution Rules of Survival #1

Welcome to the VIRS (Vocational Institution Rules of Survival) series.

I have a courage to start this series because I-- myself, was a survivor too. If you thought that I've managed to escape from this cataclysm, then you're wrong. Here I am, under the desk, writing in fear of being found by the assignment deadlines. If I haven't posted any writing sooner or later, there is a high possibility that I'm already dead, and if I do... I will say sorry in advance, this is all I can do as fellow survivor.

In this series, I will cover all of the rules I personally follow to survive in this cataclysm. Every post will at least covers one rule.

Rule #1: Gather Allies

In this place, us survivor are separated into two different blocks: those who wants to live, and those who wants to fight. You cannot be a lone wolf amidst this disaster, we need people, we need a group to protect our back. So, you better decide what kind of survivor you are. Are you those people who accidentally dragged to this disaster and decided to endure during this storm? Or you are those people choosing to walk this path of disaster with full-formed conciousness and decided to fight in the first place?

After you acknowledges your type of survival, then the next thing you want to do is: group in with fellow survivor, it greatly increases your possibility to survive rather than doing all alone. They can help you cover your flaws, or even fight together. But you also need to remember that not all people are able to be given trust, some are just... let's say irresponsible and careless, so it can directly affect your group performance. This is why communication skills are come in handy, you can do some early background checking by "investigating" target's connections, so you can list out any peoples that you think are incapable of being the part of the group. People also tends to show unexpected behavior that never shown or known before, so being careful and aware to the group is not a wrong thing to do.
